A neighborhood dispute turned violent last week, ending in an assault charge and a DUI bust. Officials disclosed that on April 10, deputies from the office of Constable Mark Herman were summoned to a residential ruckus on Spurlin Meadow Drive.
At the 13300 block, deputies encountered a scene where, they were told, a verbal standoff had ratcheted up into a physical confrontation. The resulting skirmish left one individual with facial injuries. The suspect, as per the authorities, hot-footed it from the house behind the wheel of his car. In a statement regarding the incident, Constable Mark Herman confirmed the altercation, "Upon arriving, deputies learned that a verbal altercation had escalated into a physical disturbance with the suspect causing physical harm to the complainant's face before fleeing the scene in a vehicle."
As deputies were attending to the victim, the suspect decided to return to the scene. Law enforcement observed the suspect, Michael Frank, and concluded he exhibited signs of intoxication. A blood search warrant was swiftly issued and executed, adding evidence to suspicions of driving under the influence.
"Micahel Frank was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Assault and Driving While Intoxicated. His bond was set at $3,100.00 out of County Court 10." a statement made by Herman. The report did not state whether, or not the complainant required medical attention.
