
Blaine's finest kept busy last month, racking up nearly 5,000 calls for service, as the latest dispatch data shows a bustling March for the Blaine Police Department. Officers responded to a diverse array of incidents, some as benign as animal complaints, others as urgent as medical emergencies, according to the Blaine Police Department.
The numbers speak for themselves: out of 4,754 calls tackled, there were 152 arrests made across town. Impaired drivers were pulled over 29 times, adding a grim reminder of DUI's stubborn presence on the roads. Meanwhile, the statistics revealed a consistent thorn in the side of local law enforcement--a startling 1,520 traffic stops were conducted, according to Blaine Police Department.
Concerns over property crimes remain, with 14 reported burglaries and a higher number of 43 disorderly conducts. Despite these challenges, officers also provided assistance in 414 medical incidents, suggesting a broad scope of responsibilities beyond crime fighting. Public safety emerged as a multi-faceted endeavor, with first responders rolling up to the scene of 153 vehicle crashes throughout March.
