A Cartwright School District employee found himself in hot water after being cuffed for allegedly flashing his privates at a Peoria Dutch Bros coffee drive-thru, cops said. The suspect, 26-year-old Brock Higley, supposedly gave an unsolicited show-and-tell to a 17-year-old employee working the window on Saturday, according to ABC15.
Peoria police were tipped off when the teen drink runner phoned it in, post haste, after Higley's departure. "When officers arrived on scene, they started talking to victims and staff members, who explained a male had driven through the drive-thru line, and exposed his genitals to a worker at Dutch Bros," Kristopher Babros of the Peoria Police Department detailed, per FOX 10 Phoenix. Higley’s joy ride came to a halt the next day, with law enforcement hooking him at his residence after surveillance footage caught his license plate digits.
Despite Higley's insistence to the boys in blue about being a dutiful customer who merely ordered a drink, his actions earned him one indecent exposure charge, and a bond set at $2,500. The educational worker was put on administrative leave by Cartwright School District as the case brews, with Victor Hugo Rodriguez, executive director of public relations for the district, confirming an ongoing probe into the incident, and assuring "The safety and security of Cartwright students is the district's top priority," as obtained by ABC15.
Peoria PD is grappling with the possibility that Higley may have made similar visits to other drive-thrus, "We don't know if he's going through several drive-thrus, we don't know you know if this is happening at other businesses," Babros expressed concern, letting on to FOX 10 Phoenix. The question lingers whether Higley made a habit out of his drive-thru escapades or if the Dutch Bros incident was a one and done.
This troubling trend of education professionals ending up on the wrong side of the law isn't new to Arizona. ABC15 has ripped the lid off on multiple sordid affairs including an Independence High School teacher in Glendale cuffed for covert recordings of undressing students and, a former Buckeye teacher in the embrace of the law over relations with a student.
