Vallejo saw a pair of brazen burglaries leading to arrests earlier this month. According to the Vallejo Police Department, the first break-in occurred on Napa Street where the intruder made their entry by kicking in a back door, prompting a homeowner to flee through a window. Vallejo officers, arriving at the crime scene, had to forcibly command the burglar, who chose to hide rather than surrender peacefully.

A statement by the Vallejo Police Department note, "a search of the property revealed that the burglar had removed several items from the residence and placed them in the backyard." Additionally, the intruder was caught wearing the homeowner's expensive timepiece and clutching the keys to the house, evidently looking to quickly to dispose of any evidence that could incriminate them. This criminal's attempt at discretion failed as law enforcement moved in rapidly to apprehend them.

The day's second burglary transpired on the next block over on Marin Street, where a different homeowner was shocked to find an individual wielding a machete in the sanctity of their living room. This clear threat set off a dire need for police intervention, with the homeowner swiftly dialing 911 to alert authorities of the immediate danger.

Responding officers witnessed the armed trespasser attempting to escape undetectedly and were able to prevent the escape, according to a post shared by the Vallejo PD on Facebook. The burglar was apprehended before any harm could befall the residents or the surrounding community. Both suspects were detained and transported to the county jail.
