An early morning crash in southeast Austin has left one person hospitalized on Saturday, as first reported by FOX 7 Austin. The incident, which occurred at the intersection of Pearce Lane and Kellan Road, involved a single vehicle and resulted in the driver being pinned inside.
Emergency services responded to the scene just before 2:30 a.m. where they found the victim trapped. The Austin-Travis County EMS (ATCEMS) posted the call for a vehicle rescue and advised motorists to avoid the area due to expected traffic delays and closures. The patient, after being extricated from the vehicle, was declared a trauma alert.

ATCEMS medics provided immediate treatment and transported the adult patient to St. David's South with injuries described as serious. However, the injuries are not expected to be life-threatening.
