Flames tore through a basement bedroom of a home on 7929 Zane Ave. this past Tuesday, prompting a swift response from fire departments across the county. According to a local fire notification, the call came in on April 2nd at around 12:25 PM, and units were quickly on the scene.
Firefighters from Osseo and Plymouth joined in battling the blaze, providing both auto aid and mutual aid, according to the alert. The fire, found raging in a basement bedroom, was brought under control with haste, ensuring the flames did not spread further. After extinguishing the flames, one of the residents was checked out by North ambulance but declined transport to the hospital, the alert detailed.
Unfortunately, the family affected by the fire was left reeling from the incident, necessitating support from external services. The Red Cross was brought in to assist the residents in the wake of the destruction. The details of their involvement remain unclear, but their presence is often a lifeline for families displaced by fires.
Surprisingly, the incident flew under the media radar, keeping a low profile locally. Being rescued in distress, the family's privacy seems to remain intact without the typical media circus following a house fire. Neither casualties nor significant injuries were reported in the aftermath of the fire, a fortunate outcome in an otherwise potentially devastating scenario.
