
In the early hours of the morning, firefighters combated flames that had engulfed an abandoned house in Santa Ana. The Orange County Fire Authority reported on Twitter that the fire, which broke out at around 2:54 a.m. in the 2000 block of N. Bush St., was rapidly extinguished. Tragically, the scene of destruction also became a scene of sorrow as responders discovered the remains of one individual within the home's charred walls.
While the fire was contained without injury to the firefighters, sadly the aftermath unveiled a fatality tucked amidst the aftermath. According to the OCFA's social media post, the identity and cause of death of the deceased are yet to be unraveled, with the cause of the blaze itself also still under active investigation.
