The Fort Worth Police Department is on the hunt for a robbery suspect and is turning to the community for leads. In the early hours of March 11, a man hit a 7-11 on Altamesa Blvd, brandishing what the clerk took to be a weapon, and made off with the cash drawer's contents post-haste. According to the Fort Worth Police Department, the heist went down at a bullish 4:50 a.m., with the suspect fleeing the scene shortly after his demands were met.
Authorities are eager to identify the suspect, a Black male believed to be between 20 and 30 years old, standing around 5'10". The man was last seen sharply dressed in a black hoodie, black sweatpants, and a black beanie, peeling away in a dark-colored Ford F150. The Fort Worth Police Department is asking anyone with a lead to boldly step forward and help put a name to the face of this alleged early-morning bandit.
The public plea for information was shared in a Facebook post by the Fort Worth Police Department, which provided a detailed description of the suspect and his getaway vehicle. "Anyone with information as to the identity of the suspects or who has information about the suspects can contact Detective Shaw at 817-392-4378," the post reads, also offering a path for tipsters who wish to remain in the shadows by calling Crime Stoppers of Tarrant County.
Crime Stoppers, a familiar resource for those looking to help while staying anonymous, can be reached at 817-469-8477, promising a potential monetary reward for information that leads to an arrest. The case number, available for reference and to ensure tips are properly directed, is designated as report 240019024. With community cooperation, the police hope to swiftly close the net on the individual responsible for this unsettling act of thievery.
