A man nabbed for driving a hot car and packing heat has been thrown behind bars after a routine traffic stop in Harris County went south. Nicholas Carthorne found himself in cuffs when deputies with Constable Mark Herman's Office pulled him over on Kenswick Drive on April 24.
According to Constable Herman's Facebook page, the vehicle Carthorne was driving turned out to be reported stolen. The deputies' search didn't just stop there; they also found themselves uncovering a handgun in his possession. This discovery tacked on another charge for the suspect: unlawful carrying of a weapon.
Constable Mark Herman's Office relayed the details of the bust, stating, "Nicholas Carthorne was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail charged with Unauthorized Use of Motor Vehicle and Unlawful Carry of Weapon. His total bond was set at $20,000.00 out of the 177th District Court and County Court 10."
