During a routine patrol on April 15, deputies from Constable Mark Herman’s Office stopped a car in the 7400 block of FM 1960 Rd East, which led to the apprehension of Raonte McGowen, who was driving with two outstanding misdemeanours. Not only did they discover his pending warrants, but McGowen was also found illegally armed with a loaded firearm and in possession of marijuana. Constable Mark Herman's Office stated that the identification of the driver and the subsequent search were conducted within the bounds of the law.

A deeper probe into McGowen's background revealed an individual with a propensity for disregarding the law. The search evidently turned up more than just legal infractions; it exposed an immediate threat, with law enforcement stating that a loaded gun was retrieved from his possession. Particularly alarming was the fact that McGowen was already sought for two open Misdemeanor Warrants, as mentioned in a Facebook post from Constable Mark Herman's Office.

"Raonte McGowen was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail for the open warrants and charged with Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon. His bond was set at $100.00 out of County Court 2," as reported by Constable Mark Herman.
