A man has been cuffed for allegedly attacking an elderly woman in what authorities have described as a disturbing altercation in a Harris County neighborhood.
The incident, which took place on April 10, was responded to by deputies from Constable Mark Herman's Office after they received reports of a male suspect assaulting an elderly female in the 5400 block of Elm Square Ct. The first to arrive at the scene, deputies swiftly detained the man, later identified as Anthony Teves, as per a Facebook post from the Constable's office.
An investigation into the situation found that Teves allegedly engaged in a physical confrontation with the elderly woman, during which he punched her on the head and body, purportedly causing her significant pain. These findings led to his immediate arrest.
"Anthony Teves was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Injury to an Elderly Person. His bond was set at $7,500.00 out of the 487th District Court." a statement by Constable Mark Herman.
No further details about the victim's condition or the motives behind the alleged assault have been released. Teves' booking into the Harris County Jail suggests a wait for the due process of law to unfold as the case against him solidifies.
