On a routine patrol turned bust, Harland Black was nabbed by deputies from Constable Mark Herman's Office after a traffic stop unveiled a stolen motorcycle and drugs, officials said. The incident took place in the 11700 block of Turtle Lake Drive, where Black’s ride stopped short as lawmen ran checks revealing the bike was hot and the driver wanted, leading to his arrest on multiple charges - including drug possession.

Black's streak of trouble didn't end with the stolen motorcycle as the deputies discovered he was already on the radar for a Probation Violation Warrant for Burglary of Habitation along with an outstanding warrant for skipping out on a corrections facility, according to a Facebook post by Constable Mark Herman's Office. During the stop, a search added icing to the felonious cake when deputies found Black to be in possession of 1.33 grams of crystal meth, piling up on his rap sheet.

The arrest, which occurred on April 16 but was detailed in an online post on April 20 by Constable Mark Herman's Office, potentially puts Black back behind bars with a new set of charges to his name. "Harland Black was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail for the open warrants and charged with Unauthorized Use of Motor Vehicle and Possession of Controlled Substance," the Constable's statement read.

Under the looming gaze of justice, Black now faces the music with the 248th District Court ringing the bell to the tune of $5,000.00 for his total bond, officials said in the statement.
