As Houston welcomes the weekend with open arms, the weather forecast couldn't be more inviting. With the sun up high and temperatures tipping the scales at a comfy 80 degrees, it's a perfect scenario to embrace outdoor activities, according to the National Weather Service.
"Sunny, with a high near 80. Northeast wind around 5 mph becoming southeast in the afternoon," reports the forecast from NWS. As night descends, the agency says the city will be "Mostly clear, with a low around 58. South wind 5 to 10 mph."
The upcoming week is expected to bring a pleasant climate, with temperatures ranging between the high 70s and mid-80s during the day, and nighttime temperatures gradually increasing from the cooler 50s to the more comfortable 60s. Additionally, Houstonians can forego carrying rain gear, as there is no forecast of precipitation for this weekend, as confirmed by an early post from NWS Houston.
