Chaos ensued on a Houston road when a man, allegedly under the influence, slammed into a patrol vehicle. Jamar Shaw, behind the wheel, was intercepted by deputies from Constable Mark Herman's office, who were responding to a disturbance on the 13200 block of Kuykendahl Road on April 12. The crash resulted in significant damage, and Shaw's behavior soon raised the deputies' suspicion of intoxication.
Field sobriety tests were promptly conducted, confirming that Shaw was not just under the influence, but also unlawfully armed. An inspection revealed Shaw toting 1.2 grams of heroin, Xanax pills, and a loaded firearm, a Harris County statement reported. The night took an even grimmer turn for Shaw following the discovery.
Shaw faces serious charges including Possession of a Controlled Substance, Driving While Intoxicated, and Unlawfully Carrying of a Weapon, as confirmed in Constable Mark Herman's Facebook post. The aftermath of his impaired decision-making incurred a $2,200.00 bond, as stated by Herman.
