Chaos erupted in a Houston neighborhood as deputies were called to the scene of a violent disturbance, leading to the arrest of one Jose Urbina. On April 12, Urbina allegedly unleashed a brutal assault, according to Harris County law enforcement officials, pummeling a victim in the head with his fist, a strike that left serious wounds.
The incident which took place on the 17300 block of W Lake Houston Parkway. The victim's condition was so critical, life flight bore him to the hospital with injuries threatening his continuous grasp on life. The suspect, located near the scene, was swiftly detained by deputies with Constable Mark Herman's Office.
In a statement, Constable Mark Herman said, "Jose Urbina was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Aggravated Assault Causing Serious Bodily Injury." The suspect has since been released, but not without a financial surety, found in the form of a $50,000 bond set by the 176th District Court.
