In an early morning altercation in Houston, a man reportedly opened fire on two individuals allegedly trying to break into his car, injuring both, police said. The shooting took place around 2:20 a.m. earlier today in the 17600 block of Wayforest Drive, as per FOX26 Houston. The car owner was sitting in his vehicle with his girlfriend when he noticed the pair attempting to enter his doors, leading him to believe he could possibly be facing a robbery or carjacking.
The man in the car, uncertain of the suspects' intent but perceiving an imminent threat, made the decision to quickly draw his weapon and start shooting. According to KIAH, one suspect was shot in the shoulder and chin and managed to flee the scene while the other was hit in the leg and stayed put. Authorities later found some live rounds in the area where the two fled.
