Charges have been filed against 22-year-old Ricardo Domingo Reyna, who police say is the gunman behind the fatal shooting on Catherwood Place last Friday night. The violent episode unfolded around 8:45 p.m., when a man, whose name has yet to be released, was gunned down, shot multiple times after a verbal altercation turned deadly, authorities revealed.
According to the Houston Police Department, the victim was found at 826 Catherwood Place and was later pronounced dead at Ben Taub General Hospital. Details from an initial report suggest that after the exchange of words, Reyna allegedly brandished a handgun and opened fire, striking the victim multiple times before fleeing on foot.
Reyna, facing murder charges in the 180th State District Court, is still at large. As the manhunt continues, the police are urging anyone with information to come forward. Sergeant C. Ponder and Detective K. Stringer from HPD's Homicide Division are heading the investigation, with the assistance of witness accounts that have firmly placed Reyna at the scene of the crime.
