
A manhunt is underway for the suspect involved in a fatal stabbing at a Houston gas station early yesterday morning, as charges are laid. Sean R. Smith, 52, is being charged with murder following the death of a 68-year-old man at 13301 Cullen Boulevard, around 2:45 a.m., according to the City of Houston news release.
Witnesses claim that the victim was viciously attacked, being stabbed multiple times in the gas station parking lot but the identity of the victim remains to be verified by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences, Houston police were dispatched to the scene following reports of the stabbing and upon arrival, they discovered the gravely injured man, who was later pronounced dead by paramedics at the hospital.
The police have already identified Smith as the primary suspect in the case; who fled the scene immediately after the incident in a red pick-up truck, his photograph has been circulated in a bid to accelerate his capture. Detectives J. Brown and M. Cass from HPD's Homicide Division are spearheading the investigation into this cold-blooded murder.
