Law enforcement officials are on the hunt for 53-year-old Guadalupe M. Rodriguez, who has been slapped with charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and unlawful possession of a firearm following a barroom shooting that left a 39-year-old woman critically wounded, authorities said on Tuesday.

The incident unfolded on Saturday night around 9:05 at a watering hole on 1402 North 76th Street, where responding officers discovered the female victim with a gunshot wound, the Houston Police Department's Major Assaults & Family Violence Division revealed as the victim, whose identity has been withheld, was rushed to a nearby hospital where she remains in critical condition.

Investigators, piecing together the chain of events, pointed the finger at Rodriguez known to some by the alias "Julio," and they're now circulating a March mugshot of the accused, who managed to slip away before the police arrived on that chaotic scene, according to the same division.
