An individual with serious injuries was saved in a wilderness rescue operation at Pace Bend Park, as reported by FOX 7 Austin. The Austin-Travis County EMS (ATCEMS) and the Pedernales Fire Department teams were dispatched to assist the adult victim who had sustained traumatic injuries on Saturday. The teams navigated the rugged terrain to reach and treat the patient.
Initially, the patient was without a pulse and CPR was in progress; ATCEMS medics worked fervently to revive the person regaining a pulse, afterward, the patient was alert and conversing with the rescue crews which indicates a miraculous turn in the face of grave adversity. According to the official ATCEMS X account, STAR Flight TC, a helicopter emergency medical service, was called to the scene to expedite transport to Dell Seton Medical Center in serious condition.
