The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department is on the hunt for a suspect deemed dangerous after an attempted murder occurred on a city bus last Saturday evening. In an incident described by authorities, a bus driver fell victim to an unprovoked attack by an individual who not only assaulted him with his fists but also inflicted stab wounds before fleeing the scene.

According to the official Facebook page of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, the altercation took place around 8:30 PM on April 13, at the corner of 119th Street and Wilmington Avenue in Los Angeles. The suspect allegedly began yelling at the bus driver for reasons unknown, prior to the attack. After the physical confrontation, the suspect was seen running northbound on Wilmington Avenue.

Investigators from the Transit Services Bureau are spearheading the investigation, and they are urging the public to come forward with any relevant information that could lead to the apprehension of the perpetrator.

The department is enlisting the help of the community, believing that witnesses or those with knowledge of the incident could provide critical leads. They have provided several means through which to share information, including a direct line to the Transit Services Bureau at (213) 541-2558, and the "Crime Stoppers" hotline which allows individuals to remain anonymous if they so choose. An option for the hearing impaired is also available through the “P3 Tips” Mobile APP or “P3 Mobile,” which can be found on Google Play or the App Store.

Authorities have not yet released a detailed description of the suspect, but they continue to analyze evidence and gather witness testimonies. The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department has reiterated its commitment to bringing the suspect to justice and ensuring the security of its transit systems. The public is reminded to exercise vigilance and report any suspicious activity immediately.
