A townhome in Van Nuys was engulfed in flames last night, prompting a rapid response from Los Angeles firefighters. Smoke was spotted billowing from the first floor of a two-story townhome located at 14522 W Gault St. The incident, registered as INC#1636, was reported at 09:43 PM, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The LAFD went into offensive mode to tackle the blaze. In their effort to control the fire, the crew had to navigate through "tight spaces among excessive storage" to properly and safely extend hose lines to the affected unit. The operation involved a team of 30 firefighters who managed to quickly and effectively knock down the fire in just 15 minutes, despite the challenging conditions.
