
In a series of events more fitting for a Hollywood action flick, an armed robbery spree has come to an end with the capture of two suspects, officials say. The Los Angeles Police Department apprehended an adult male and a juvenile female after a high-speed chase, possibly putting a stop to a cascade of armed robberies across Los Angeles County.
The LAPD reported that officers from the Newton Area responded to a call of an armed robbery in progress on April 6, 2024, at a convenience store near South Central Avenue. After officers spotted the suspect's vehicle, they attempted to stop it, leading to a pursuit. According to the LAPD's News Release via X a firearm was tossed from the vehicle during the chase, later recovered by the pursuing officers.

Following the chase, the suspects were detained and found with a significant amount of cash, believed to be from the robbery. Further investigation linked the adult male and the juvenile to a carjacking earlier that day, in addition to several other armed robberies across multiple cities within the Los Angeles area.
Identified as 18-year-old Nathen Sanchez, the male suspect now faces robbery charges with a bail set at $175,000, his haunting journey through crime was traced by booking number 6787937. The female accomplice, whose name has not been disclosed due to her age, is just 12 years old. The detectives are now extending their reach, hoping to find more victims of the crime spree scattered across the LA county area.
