In the quiet hours before dawn, a theft reduction sting in Chino Hills brought a pair of mail pilferers to justice, after deputies arrested them with a carful of stolen correspondences. Jorge Madrigal, 31, and Leticia Torres, 35, were snagged during a traffic stop at Soquel Canyon Parkway and Pomona Rincon Road on April 5, with the clock striking 3:16 a.m., they were found red-handed with a sizable haul of purloined mail from local residents, according to the SBSD - Chino Hills Police Department.
The duo, hailing from Menifee and Upland, got slapped with cuffs and booked into the West Valley Detention Center on mail theft charges, the cogs of their alleged criminal endeavors grinding to a halt as deputies put an end to their nocturnal activities. With Madrigal and Torres behind bars, investigators are picking apart whether these suspects have a longer rap sheet of similar incidents, as the trail of paper and delivered parcels may weave into a larger tapestry of theft that once blighted the neighborhoods of Chino Hills, as reported by the SBSD - Chino Hills Police Department.
