Man Arrested in Millbrae Stabbing, Victim in Critical Condition, San Mateo Deputies Seek InformationSource: Google Street View

A man was taken into custody by San Mateo County Sheriff's Deputies in Millbrae after an alleged stabbing incident, the Sheriff's Office reported yesterday. The episode unfolded just before 10 in the morning when deputies rushed to an alleyway behind 25 Hillcrest Blvd., where they discovered a 54-year-old man with severe stab wounds. The deputies urgently attended to him until paramedics took charge, transferring him to a local hospital where he is listed in critical condition, the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office revealed.

The suspect, identified as 32-year-old Qi Peng from the same town, was apprehended nearby shortly after the attack. The deputies, after a quick search of the area, found what is believed to be the weapon used, and there was no further threat to the public since the stabbing appears to have been a one-off event between the victim and the assailant, who were acquainted with each other.

Peng, who was taken into custody without any complication, is currently being held at the Maguire Correctional Facility on charges of attempted homicide. The authorities have yet to disclose any motive behind the attack.
