
A road rage incident in Northeast Washington turned bloody when a man was stabbed following a traffic accident, according to police. The Metropolitan Police Department reported that the altercation occurred on Wednesday morning after two drivers involved in an accident pulled into a gas station.
At approximately 8:55 a.m., on April 10, both the victim and Dustin Bryan, the suspect, were at the 4200 block of Nannie Helen Burroughs Avenue, Northeast when the dispute escalated. The MPD stated, in what appeared to be an altercation spurred by the crash, Bryan allegedly assaulted the victim with a knife before fleeing the scene.
Following a swift investigation by detectives from the Sixth District, authorities located Bryan's vehicle in Southeast D.C. They apprehended the 23-year-old suspect at his residence, according to details released by the MPD.
Bryan, a Southeast resident, has since been charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife) in connection with the stabbing incident, a release by the MPD confirmed. The suspect is currently awaiting further legal proceedings as the case moves forward.
