An armed robbery suspect was nabbed Wednesday by the Redwood City Police Department after a coordinated takedown in Unincorporated Redwood City, officials said. The suspect, identified as 36-year-old Milpitas resident Jeffrey Tabron Jr., is now facing charges related to a recent spate of felony armed robberies.

Following a trail of clues over the past three weeks, detectives pinpointed Tabron’s hideout on the 3700 block of Marlborough Avenue, setting the stage for his capture. Assisted by the San Mateo Police Department SWAT Team and the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team, the RCPD Special Response Team executed a search warrant without a single citizen getting hurt.

The operation went down without a hitch, occurring in the early hours to minimize risk to residents and officers alike. Armed officers swarmed the area, arresting Tabron on charges of felony armed robbery. Tabron was also tagged with an arrest warrant for a probation violation, compounding his legal troubles.

Working with meticulous planning, the joint SWAT teams ensured no one was injured during the high-stakes arrest operation. The Redwood City Police Department stated in a media information release that Tabron was safely taken into custody and that the public was never in any imminent danger.
