Minneapolis residents are bracing for a blustery day as the National Weather Service issues a Wind Advisory for the region. According to a report, gusts could reach up to 45 mph, with sustained north winds of 20 to 30 mph expected to ripple through portions of central and southern Minnesota and west central Wisconsin.
The advisory, which remains in effect until 10 PM CDT this evening, warns of potential hazards including downed tree limbs and power outages. "Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result," cautions the National Weather Service. The affected areas spread across a broad swath of the state, from metro Minneapolis to the edge of west central Wisconsin.
Breezy conditions are expected to continue today with a wind advisory is in effect until 10 PM. Wind gusts will reach 35 to 45 mph. A chance of snow showers lingers for areas east of I-35 through tomorrow. Clearer and warmer conditions by the end of this week. #mnwx #wiwx pic.twitter.com/4i1DD6HGAK

Today's forecast for Minneapolis casts a mostly cloudy sky with a chill, as the high should hover near 47 degrees amid breezy conditions. Meanwhile, the weather outlook briefly teases the possibility of snow between 10 PM and 11 PM tonight, although only a slight chance is anticipated. The bluster completes its presence with a low of around 31 degrees, as reported by the National Weather Service.
Looking ahead, Minneapolis can expect a silver lining of mostly sunny days with highs gradually climbing into the 50s by the weekend. Yet, the tranquility may be short-lived as forecasts show a 20 percent chance of showers beginning Saturday night, escalating to showers likely by Sunday with a 70 percent chance of precipitation. The fluctuating weather pattern suggests it's a time of transition as spring attempts to settle in, wresting control from the retreating cold.
