The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department reported success today in the case of the previously missing 56-year-old Gregory Davenport from Compton. As informed by the Sheriff's Information Bureau, thanks to the joint efforts of the public, media, and deputy personnel, Mr. Davenport was located after having gone missing earlier last month.
Gregory Davenport vanished from the 15800 block of South Frailey Avenue in Compton on March 15, sparking a search mission driven by concerns about his need for medication due to his medical conditions. Walking out of sight at approximately 3:45 a.m., he was described as a bald, 5-foot-8-inch tall black male, weighing 160 pounds with brown eyes and last seen wearing a dark green parka.
The call for public assistance, released through various communications platforms including a previous Nixle alert, proved instrumental in the resolution of this case. The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department encouraged anyone with knowledge about such incidents to reach out, offering options for anonymous tips through "Crime Stoppers."
While the details surrounding Mr. Davenport's disappearance and the manner of his location have not been disclosed, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department expressed appreciation for the community's involvement in the search.
