Long Beach was gripped by a series of no-hit shootings on Tuesday night as gunfire erupted across the area, with several suspects discharging weapons and fleeing scenes before the arrival of law enforcement. The incidents, which are all under investigation, thankfully resulted in no injuries despite the multiple shots fired in various residential neighborhoods, according to the Long Beach Police Department.

The first reports came in at 6:24 p.m. from the 600 block of East 10th Street with officers finding evidence of gunfire, as per the Long Beach Police Department. A male suspect allegedly shot randomly and, slipped away unseen. As night fell, the violence did not cease. By 9:42 p.m., the 100 block of East 28th Street was the next target, where an unknown driver and others exchanged rounds, scattering before the police could secure the area.

Early hours of the morning brought more of the same, where at approximately 2:24 a.m., officers near the 1300 block of Pine Avenue were alerted to the sound of bullets piercing the calm. They later apprehended two adults and two juveniles after a car chase ended with a crashed stolen vehicle at Locust Avenue and Anaheim Street. The 17-year-old driver was booked into Long Beach City Jail, as reported by the Long Beach Police Department.

"The investigation is ongoing," read the official statement regarding all three incidents. Questions linger about the motives behind these brazen acts of gunplay – and about the suspects, who remain largely unknown.
