Early Tuesday morning, a call to 911 with little detail led Pacifica police to a grisly scene. Officers, arriving promptly at a residence on Rosita Road, uncovered an act of violence within – a 19-year-old had been stabbed multiple times. According to the Facebook post by Pacifica Police Department, the incident occurred around 2:40 am.

Without wasting a moment, police took the suspect into custody, seemingly ending the threat with no further incident. After apprehending the suspect, officers provided immediate first aid to the victim until paramedics from North County Fire Authority and AMR could arrive. Aided by additional units from neighboring Daly City and South San Francisco Police Departments, officers secured the scene.

The victim was quickly transported to a local hospital, where their injuries were assessed to be non-life threatening. Celebrated for their fast action, the officers' intervention was crucial in stabilizing the situation and ensuring swift emergency care for the injured teen.

Arrested at the scene, Alejandro Acosta Ortegon, 19, also a Pacifica inhabitant, faces attempted murder charges. In the aftermath, Ortegon found himself booked into San Mateo County Main Jail, staring down the justice system as charged with 664/187 PC – a criminal code for attempted murder.
