The city is launching a series of art classes for young Picasso’s and O'Keeffes, slated to run every Saturday from May 4 – 25. The classes, taking place at the Peoria Community Center located at 8335 W. Jefferson Street, aim to nurture the artistic talents of those aged between 7 and 17.

According to a news release, the sessions are split by age group. Kids 7 to 11 can dive into their artistic endeavors from 9:30 to 11 am, while the older crew, those 12 to 17, get their hands dirty from 11 am to 12:30 pm. For a mere $30, attendees get access to all four weeks of classes which includes materials and supplies.

These classes aren't just about putting brush to canvas; they're a journey through various artistic mediums and techniques. It's a supportive space where creativity is the only prerequisite.
