The Philadelphia Police Department is urging the public to step up with any information leading to the capture of a suspect who mercilessly gunned down a teen last week. According to authorities, the incident took place late at night at the Cliveden Apartments, located in the city's 14th district.

Details on the crime, drawn from a police report, indicate that on April 15, at approximately 11:50 pm, an unidentified individual breached the building's security by entering through a door left unsecured. The suspect, brandishing a weapon, subsequently fired multiple shots at a 16-year-old male inside a first-floor apartment. The victim, who has not been named, sustained critical injuries due to the assault.

After committing the act, the suspect made a rapid retreat, fleeing the scene as the passenger in a getaway car described as a black sedan. The vehicle was last seen making a right turn onto Musgrave Street from Cliveden Street at 11:51 pm.

Law enforcement officials released a surveillance video snippet that captures the suspect's flight. As per the video evidence, the suspect is described as a male wearing a dark balaclava mask, blue surgical gloves, a dark grey jacket, black sweatpants, and black 'Nike' shoes that boast a distinctive white or reflective 'swoosh' logo. While responding officers reached the crime scene shortly after the incident, the suspect had already vanished into the night, along with any clear motives for the shooting.
