
Flames tore through a two-story apartment complex in Tustin yesterday, as firefighters rushed to battle the blaze which reportedly erupted in the early afternoon. According to a social media post by the Orange County Fire Authority, the call came in at 2:14 p.m. with crews quickly on the scene of the 16000 block of Alliance Ave, where they worked to both evacuate residents and contain the fire.

Firefighters were able to aggressively attack the inferno to not only control the situation but also to ensure that everyone was safely evacuated. The action taken by these first responders was critical in preventing further catastrophe. In an effort to more rapidly quell the fire, the team split up their efforts to search for possible trapped victims and douse the flames.
Fortuitously, no injuries were reported in the incident, a testament to the quick thinking and efficiency of the responding teams. As the smoke cleared, the aftermath saw three apartment units significantly damaged by the fire. The adjacent apartments, although threatened by the rapidly spreading flames, were saved by the firefighters' quick response.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation, and no further details about the origin of the blaze have been released. The Tustin Police also provided necessary assistance during the emergency, as acknowledged by fire officials. In the end, eight residents were displaced due to the damage sustained by their homes, finding themselves suddenly without shelter in the face of an unforeseen disaster.
