As per Ramsey County, the need for such volunteers is a stark reminder of the ongoing struggle faced by victims and survivors of sexual assault—striving for recovery in a society that, too often, shuns the significance of their trauma. The service outlined in their social media callout, looking for those willing to extend a helping hand in moments of profound vulnerability. Specially trained volunteers would work around the clock to deliver immediate assistance to those in dire need—an honorable, yet tremendous responsibility.
