The San Jose Police Department is currently piecing together the events that claimed the life of a woman in what has been marked as the city's 11th homicide this year. According to authorities, a distress call on March 31 sent officers rushing to a home on Mill Pond Drive at 12:33 PM. Inside, they discovered a female victim bearing clear signs of physical violence, unresponsive and without breath. Despite the efforts of first responders, she was pronounced dead at the scene.

In a press release obtained by the San Jose Police Department, a suspect was found at the residence, immediately taken into custody, and later booked on murder charges at the Santa Clara County Jail. The name of this individual is to be released later. Police have yet to publicly identify a motive for the killing, further stating that the circumstances are actively under investigation.

The victim’s identity remains undisclosed, pending confirmation and notification of her next of kin by the Santa Clara County Coroner’s Office. Officers are urging anyone with pertinent information to quickly come forward, to aid the ongoing inquiry into this tragic episode possibly.
