A blaze tore through a Santa Ana apartment late last night, drawing scores of firefighters to the 1600 block of S Evergreen Street. The fire, which engulfed a two-story building, was fully engaged by the time crews arrived, according to the OCFA PIO.

Despite the intensity of the flames, the Orange County Fire Authority confirmed that all residents, including their pets, were safely evacuated from the burning apartment and the one next door. With the fire extinguished, no injuries have been reported, according to the OCFA PIO.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Meanwhile, the affected families are not left to cope on their own. The American Red Cross has been requested to provide assistance to those displaced by the incident.
