As per the latest update, the Scott County Sheriff’s Office has grabbed a batch of gear that's bound to make emergency responses swifter and more efficient, not just in their backyard but also in the surrounding neighborhoods that might catch a tough break.
The tricked-out kit includes a tracked utility terrain vehicle that's set up with a rescue platform, known to get to those hard-to-reach spots when Mother Nature throws a curveball. They've also got a breaching tool, a couple of portable generators, and water pumps to boot, which will come in handy to keep the lights on and dry out the wet spots after strong storms or unexpected floods hit the scene.
