To cut down on the risk of a fender-bender, or worse, the Sheriff's Office laid out tips for drivers: go easy on the gas pedal when behind slow-moving farm monsters, keep your distance, and make sure to signal before you pass. Plus, remember that these agricultural beasts often have a wider girth than the typical sedan—so give 'em room. On the flip side, those steering the farm equipment are advised to use lights and flashers, slap on the slow-moving vehicle emblem if going under 30 mph, and maybe even employ a follow vehicle at night for extra visibility, as per the Scott County, Minnesota.
