Gunshots rang out in the still of the night, leading to a tense scene at a Brooklyn Park business complex. In the early morning hours of April 14, police were summoned to the 8400 block of Xerxes Ave N after reports surfaced of gunfire, according to the Brooklyn Park Police Department.
The police, arriving at the scene, found evidence of the said gunfire. A local business was marked by the violence of the incident, bearing bullet wounds in its front door and window. Upon discovering the damage, officers quickly worked to ensure the safety of those within, having all individuals inside the business exit to safety. No injuries were reported in this sudden breach of peace, as per the Brooklyn Park Police Department.
Detectives were called to the scene to deepen the investigation, executing a search warrant as part of the procedure. This search yielded the recovery of three handguns, adding a tangible weight to a night otherwise punctuated by unanswered questions and the echo of shots fired. The thorough search confirmed that, fortunately, none had been harmed during the incident.
