Three individuals were apprehended Saturday night after they allegedly looted a Dick's Sporting Goods store in El Cajon, stealing merchandise valued at approximately $909. Identified by the police, the suspects included two men, Jeremy Jobes, 34, of Spring Valley, and William Stillwagon, Jr., 46, of San Diego, accompanied by a woman, Kathryn Pillman, 35, of El Cajon. The trio executed their heist by removing anti-theft tags before fleeing the scene in a truck driven by Pillman, as reported by the local authorities.

Lurking less than a mile from the retailer, police waylaid the escapees in their vehicle, discovering not just the stolen goods but also burglary tools. A concealed knife was found on one of the men, with both harboring a litany of personal identifying items of others, including social security numbers and credit cards. Pillman was caught with multiple bags containing drugs and a sum of cash. Continuing the pursuit of justice, the El Cajon Police Department confirmed that all three were booked into jail.

The criminal backgrounds of the arrested weren't insignificantly compiled, as Jobes had past convictions of petty theft, drug offenses, and identity theft. Stillwagon, Jr. was known to law enforcement for his involvement in theft, drug offenses, and weapons charges. Pillman's previous run-ins with the law included charges of assault with a deadly weapon and DUI.

In the aftermath of the incident, the El Cajon Police Department voiced its intent to deal strictly with such criminal behavior. Police Chief Mike Moulton stated, "The El Cajon Police Department will use every resource available to hold criminals who commit these types of thefts accountable. Criminal acts will not be tolerated and will have consequences for those who commit them," having multiple separate bags, Pillman had cash along with drugs.

The police urge anyone with additional information about the incident to come forward and contact the El Cajon Police Department at 619-579-3311 or to reach out to Crime Stoppers on their website.
