The Leander Police Department announced on social media the temporary reopening of the roadway following the deadly incident that took place near Sheila Drive, as reported by KXAN.

While the thoroughfare was made accessible around 10:33 p.m., officials plan to once again close down the southbound lanes at 9 a.m. on Tuesday to carry on with their investigation. KXAN's photojournalist captured an image of an overturned motorcycle, a telling sign of the day's tragic events. The department has not yet released further details.
The crash site at US 183 and Sheila Drive will see closures extending to Glass Drive, near a local Kohl's department store. Leander police have advised motorists to prepare for delays Tuesday morning or to seek alternative travel paths. As the northbound side remains open, the impact is mainly on those heading south.
