A squad of Houston police patrol cars found their windshields busted by apparent vandalism yesterday. Houston police reported to FOX 26 Houston that rocks or bricks were used to smash the windshields of nine vehicles parked under the I-59 overpass, close to the George R. Brown Convention Center.
These vehicles, which were assigned to the Downtown Patrol Division, suffered the damage during the night or early morning, and now the Major Offenders Division is spearheading an investigation into the incident, searching for those responsible for the destruction. Anyone with information relevant to the investigation has been asked to step forward, as reported by KHOU.
In the meantime, repair crews have been on-site to replace the shattered windshields, attempting to restore a semblance of order after the abrupt and unprovoked attack on law enforcement property. According to a post from Houston Police on X, the Major Offenders Division is reaching out to the public, imploring anyone with information regarding possible suspects to contact them.
