
Warren, Michigan has been put on alert by local police after a high school student reported an unsettling encounter while walking home. Authorities are on the hunt for a man accused of trying to lure the teen into his vehicle.
According to the WWJ Newsradio report, a Cousino High School student was approached by the unidentified man around 4 p.m. on Wednesday near Shawn and Jenny drives. She recounted how the stranger, driving an older Jeep Grand Cherokee with a black luggage rack and damage to the left rear driver side door, attempted to convince her to enter his vehicle. Quick thinking on the student's part involved pulling out her cellphone and recording the incident, prompting the man to flee upon realizing he was being filmed.
The suspect is a described white male, around 35 years of age, with light brown hair and blue eyes. The Warren Police Department has been thorough in their investigatory efforts and are pursuing multiple leads. Macomb Daily reported that the alarming encounter included the suspect asking the young girl if she had ever "been with a real man before," further intensifying community concerns.
