Tragedy struck Conroe, Texas, as police were called to two separate shooting incidents over the weekend, resulting in a juvenile fatality and a man facing life-threatening injuries in the ICU. Conroe police found a juvenile male dead from gunshot wounds at approximately 11:23 p.m. Saturday at 1410 Cordoba Court, as reported by FOX 26 Houston. The chaos ensued when a group of juveniles arrived to buy drugs, leading to a deadly exchange of gunfire with armed suspects. One minor reportedly suffered a gunshot wound to the face and was being treated at a local hospital.
Their investigation continues to quickly evolve, with Conroe police diligently following leads to potentially file more charges. Earlier in the day, a separate but equally violent scenario unfolded at an apartment complex where Corrandus Williams Jr., 39, was found with multiple gunshot wounds. As responders provided aid, Wayne Arthur Carter Jr., 33, was detained near the scene and is now facing multiple charges including aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, according to Click2Houston.
The juvenile victim in the Cordoba Court case has not yet been named. Further details are sparse as the Conroe police maintain their investigation and have yet to release additional information regarding the other detained juveniles.
Williams, the victim of the South 7th Street shooting, currently lies in the ICU, with his condition not disclosed to the public.
