Boston Police Arrest 10 in Drug Sting, Seize Cocaine and Fentanyl in East BostonSource: Boston Police Department

In a decisive clampdown on drug trafficking, Boston police rounded up 10 individuals in what they're calling Operation "Clean House" in East Boston last Tuesday. The sting unfolded at an East Boston dwelling long scrutinized by law enforcement for rampant drug-related activities, leading to considerable seizures of narcotics and cash.

Targeting 44 Border Street in the Maverick Landing Housing Development, an area notorious for drug crimes, the Boston Regional Intelligence Center reported a staggering 52 drug-linked incidents at this location since the start of last year. A concerted effort by members of several Drug Control Units culminated in this bust after an investigation that spanned six months, with local authorities moving in with search warrants to disrupt the hub of illegal activity.

During the raid, officials seized notationally over 100 grams of cocaine, including crack cocaine, and a substantial 60 grams of Fentanyl. They also confiscated $2,610 in US currency. According to a statement by the Boston Police Department, the arrested individuals face charges ranging from drug trafficking to outstanding warrants and trespassing.

Listed among the accused are Samuel Junta, 43, and Kerry Bell, 47, both charged with trafficking substantial quantities of Class “B” drugs. Meanwhile, along with trespassing, Victoria Herrera and Amin Roundil, both 30, were also taken into custody. The ten suspects are now scheduled to make court appearances at East Boston District Court for arraignment on the charges brought against them.
