
A stabbing incident in Taunton, Massachusetts, led to the arrest of 24-year-old Cye Key, who is now facing multiple charges including home invasion and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. According to NBC Boston, the violence unfolded yesterday afternoon when police responded to reports of an altercation on Paul Bunker Drive.
Authorities discovered three injured men, aged 19 and 21, who were subsequently treated at an area hospital for minor injuries, some resulting from the attack. Key, who is also from Taunton, allegedly entered an apartment armed with a hammer and a large knife, instigating the confrontation that police believe stemmed from a previous argument the night before.
In the aftermath of the incident, Taunton Police Department took Key into custody. He was also treated for minor injuries before facing arraignment in court. "A subsequent investigation revealed that a man later identified as Cye Key, 24, of Taunton, allegedly entered an apartment armed with a hammer and a large knife and began attacking the victims," as reported by NBC Boston.
At his arraignment, Mr. Key pleaded not guilty. In addition to the aforementioned charges, he faces possession of a Class B controlled substance. Key has been ordered held pending a dangerousness hearing, with his next court appearance scheduled for July 8, 2024, as noted by WHDH News.
