Chandler's job scene is buzzing with activity as the City of Chandler, together with local partners, gears up to host an Advanced Manufacturing Career Expo on May 15. The free hiring event, touted as a boon for both job seekers and Chandler’s growing manufacturing industry, will take place at Chandler-Gilbert Community College’s Agave Hall from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., in a push to bolster the region’s talent pipeline for this year and beyond.

At this expo, candidates, eager to network and eyeing to secure positions across the manufacturing spectrum, will have a chance to meet face-to-face with key players from the sector. NXP Semiconductors and Microchip Technology are among the leading firms set to scout for fresh talent at the event, as reported by the City of Chandler

Mayor Kevin Hartke highlighted the city’s commitment to technological innovation and growth, saying, "Advanced manufacturing is central to the City of Chandler's identity as a Community of Innovation." He further stressed the importance of the upcoming expo as an investment in the city's future, which promises to align skilled individuals with leading-edge companies propelling the economy forward.

Reiterating the significance of these matchmaking events between job hunters and employers, Jessica Pierce, the CEO of Career Connectors, expressed excitement over the collaboration with local Chandler organizations. "Opportunities in the Advanced Manufacturing industry are abundant, and events like these serve as vital bridges," she said, per the City of Chandler. Employers still on the lookout for setting up a booth at the expo are in luck, as registrations remain open on the Career Connectors-Chandler Employers website.
