Cobb County Superior Court has issued a summons for those enlisted to perform their civic duty for the week commencing May 20. According to instructions posted on the court's website, specifically-selected jurors in pool groups 1 through 11 are to report at the time on their jury summons and will convene on the first floor Superior Court Jury Assembly Room, found at the courthouse's Haynes Street entrance.
Prospective jurors are instructed to confirm their attendance online before arriving – a preemptive check-in to streamline the process. On matters of parking, the court's advisory is explicit and not intended for creative interpretations: officially designated lots "A" and "B," with overflow directed to Parking Deck "P," are the only approved locations where your parking will be validated.
In a slight twist of scheduling, jury members pooled in groups 12 and 13 have won a temporary reprieve and do not need to appear on Monday, however, this reprieve is short-lived as they must remain on-call, verifying if their services are required on Tuesday by reaching out to the juror information line or by visiting the court website after 7 P.M. on Monday.
