A tragic outbreak of violence on a Dallas highway has left one man dead and a woman charged with murder, police say.
Carlos Glover, 28, was shot midday on May 26 on the 12600 block of E. Northwest Highway and the Dallas Police responded to the scene at around 12:15 pm. Glover was rushed to a local hospital in critical condition but succumbed to his injuries the following day, the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed.
Investigators wasted no time in linking Tyra Murrell, 25, to the crime. Initially arrested on charges of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Murrell now faces upgraded charges of murder following Glover's death. She remains in custody at the Dallas County Jail and the case continues to unfold under case number 081889-2024 as reported by the Dallas Police Department.
Glover's shooting and subsequent death have raised questions within the community, the details of which are slowly piecing together. The nature of the relationship between Glover and Murrell, if any, has not yet been disclosed by authorities. While the motives behind the shooting remain obscure, the legal repercussions for Murrell are clear as the severity of the charges against her escalates.
